Can it tahan white ants?
White ants (termites) are a genuine worry in Sarawak homes. They eat cellulose — timber and board — which is exactly why an aluminium or ACP carcass takes the food source off the table.
Termites can't eat an aluminium or ACP carcass — there's no timber for them to feed on, and SPC is a mineral composite they ignore too. Where a design uses plywood or solid-timber fronts, we tell you and specify accordingly.
What termites can and can't touch
- Aluminium & ACP carcass — inorganic, so it's simply not food for termites
- SPC surfaces are a mineral-polymer composite, not cellulose
- Plywood and solid-timber components ARE organic — termites can attack those
- We flag where a design uses timber so you choose with eyes open

- Choosing aluminium removes the cabinet as a termite food source — not the risk to the rest of your building
- Your home's structure, skirtings and doors still need their own termite management
- Warranty excludes pest damage where the material isn't specified as pest-resistant
