ALUMAX measures, supplies and installs glass to a confirmed drawing — matched to the zone (wet, high-traffic, fall-protection) and finished to suit the space, not sold as one spec for every job.
Shower screens
Framed, slim-framed or frameless tempered-glass shower enclosures — hinged or sliding — with corrosion-resistant hardware and seals sized to the threshold, for bathrooms and wet zones.
Staircase & balcony balustrades
Toughened-glass balustrades and railings for stairs, landings, balconies and mezzanines — clamped, channel-set or standoff-fixed to a safe height and fixing for fall protection.
Canopies, sunrooms & patio glazing
Glass entrance canopies, patio and pool-side screens and glazed sunroom / conservatory enclosures in powder-coated aluminium, with laminated or toughened glass chosen for the exposure.
Shopfront & facade glazing

Frameless or framed shower screen — which is better?
Frameless looks cleanest and is easiest to wipe down, but uses thicker glass and more hardware, so it costs more. A slim aluminium frame is more budget-friendly and still reads clean, and can suit an out-of-true wall better. We recommend based on your bathroom, budget and how the wall and floor are set out.
Is tempered glass unbreakable?
No — tempered (toughened) glass is impact-resistant and, if it does break, granulates into blunt pieces instead of shards, which is why it is used for showers and balustrades. It is not unbreakable, so we specify the right thickness, rating and fixing for the use rather than making a zero-risk claim.
