Everyday care
A few habits keep the whole home looking new and keep your warranty intact.
- Wipe spills promptly — water is the one thing every finish dislikes if it is left to sit.
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powder and strong solvents.
- Keep rooms ventilated. Sarawak humidity is the main stress on any cabinet; airflow is the simplest defence.
- Keep wet-zone seals intact — the silicone at sinks, hobs and splashbacks is what keeps water out of the structure.
- Do not force a door, drawer or mechanism that has gone stiff. Tell us — an early adjustment is a quick fix.
Aluminium in wet zones
Where water is a daily fact — wet kitchen or laundry — the carcass is aluminium, not board. In a bathroom, the WPC bathroom cabinetry line (the FLYHOME bathroom vanity line) also applies where its system is specified. The sink base follows each kitchen package's own record. Where a complete kitchen includes the FLYHOME P6 protected sink base, its description says so; where the site measurement rules P6 out — always in a wet kitchen with wash-down, standing water or constant dampness — an aluminium wet-zone sink carcass replaces it, charged on top. Any other sink base is an ALUMAX aluminium wet-zone carcass unless the site measurement confirms the FLYHOME P6 protected build. - Aluminium does not absorb water the way a wood-based core can, but it still needs its seals maintained. It is wet-zone suitable, not indestructible.
- Only ever use a neutral-cure silicone near aluminium if you reseal a joint yourself — acid-cure sealant corrodes aluminium and is never used on our work.
Boards, fronts and P6
Dry-zone carcasses and most fronts are moisture-resistant board.
- Board resists humidity but is not waterproof — keep standing water off it and wipe edges dry.
- No board edge should ever meet water. If you see a lifting or swollen edge, contact us before it spreads.
Glass and mirrors
Shower screens, balustrades and glass fronts are tempered.
- Squeegee shower glass after use and wipe the seals — it keeps limescale off and the seal working.
- Tempered glass is impact-resistant, not unbreakable. Avoid knocks to edges and corners, which is where glass is weakest.
- Clean a mirror with clean warm water on a wrung-out, lint-free cloth and dry the edges straight away. Spray any cleaner on the cloth, never on the glass — liquid that runs to the bottom edge wicks in behind the backing.用干净的温水和拧干的无绒布擦拭镜子，并立即擦干边缘。清洁剂只喷在布上，绝不喷在玻璃上——流到底边的液体会渗入背层后面。Bersihkan cermin dengan air suam bersih pada kain bebas gentian yang diperah dan keringkan tepinya serta-merta. - Never use vinegar, an ammonia-based glass cleaner or an acidic bathroom descaler on a mirror; all three attack the edge and the backing, and the black edge they cause cannot be repaired.绝不要在镜子上使用醋、含氨玻璃清洁剂或酸性浴室除垢剂；这三者都会侵蚀边缘和背层，造成的黑边无法修复。Jangan sekali-kali menggunakan cuka, pencuci kaca berasaskan ammonia atau penyahkerak bilik mandi berasid pada cermin; ketiga-tiganya menyerang tepi dan lapik, dan tepi hitam yang diakibatkannya tidak boleh dibaiki.
- Keep the back of a bathroom mirror ventilated and its bottom edge clear of the basin, and run the extractor after a shower — a wet edge is where the silver film corrodes. If you re-fix a mirror yourself, use only a neutral-cure silicone in vertical strips, never an acetic (vinegar-smell) one.保持浴室镜子背面通风，底边离开洗手盆，淋浴后开着排风扇——潮湿的边缘正是银膜腐蚀的地方。若自行重新固定镜子，只能用竖条涂布的中性硅胶，绝不用醋酸型（有醋味的）硅胶。Pastikan belakang cermin bilik mandi berpengudaraan dan tepi bawahnya jauh daripada besen, dan jalankan penyedut selepas mandi — tepi yang basah ialah tempat filem perak terhakis. - Ask for copper-free mirror on any new mirror; the backing specification is confirmed on your quotation, and the edges are sealed before installation, not after.任何新镜子都请要求无铜镜；背层规格在您的报价单上确认，边缘在安装前密封，而不是安装后。Minta cermin bebas kuprum bagi mana-mana cermin baharu; spesifikasi lapik disahkan pada sebut harga anda, dan tepinya dikedap sebelum pemasangan, bukan selepasnya.
Hardware — hinges, runners, mechanisms
The moving parts are the parts that get used most.
- Keep hinges, runners and tracks clean and free of grit; a dry cloth is usually enough.
- Do not overload drawers and lift-up doors beyond their rating. Overloading is the most common cause of a mechanism failing early.
- Soft-close and lift mechanisms can be adjusted — if one stops holding position, that is a service call, not a replacement.

Kitchen Cabinet Systems
Wipe spills and keep sink-zone seals intact. The board resists humidity but isn’t waterproof — wet zones use aluminium, and every edge is sealed.及时擦拭溅出物，保持水槽区域密封完好。板材防潮但并非防水——湿区采用铝合金，每条边缘均做密封处理。Lap tumpahan dan pastikan kedap zon sinki utuh. Aluminium structures don’t absorb water like wood-based cores — wet-zone suitable when properly specified, installed and maintained. Wardrobe Storage Systems
Keep rooms ventilated, avoid storing damp items, and wipe internal surfaces periodically to limit humidity build-up.保持房间通风，避免存放潮湿物品，并定期擦拭内部表面以减少潮气积聚。Pastikan bilik berudara, elakkan menyimpan barang lembap, dan lap permukaan dalaman secara berkala untuk mengehadkan pengumpulan kelembapan.
Living Room & TV Storage

Entrance & Utility Storage
Wipe shelves and fronts with a damp cloth and let wet shoes dry before they go in — ventilated shelving does the rest. The AquaGlass laundry cabinet wipes down and shrugs off splash; keep the drainage and the sink seal clean. Bathroom Vanity Systems
Keep the area ventilated, wipe standing water and maintain seals. WPC resists moisture and termites and is specified for dry and humid rooms — where water reaches the cabinet, a welded-aluminium or painted-stainless model is the right choice.保持通风，擦干积水并维护密封。WPC 耐潮抗白蚁，适用于干燥与潮湿房间——若水会直接接触柜体，焊接铝或烤漆不锈钢型号才是正确选择。Pastikan kawasan berpengudaraan, lap air bertakung dan selenggara kedap. Clean tracks and frames, keep drainage paths clear and service hardware as needed. SPC Flooring
Sweep and damp-mop, and wipe spills promptly. SPC is not indestructible — use felt pads under furniture and avoid dragging heavy loads.清扫并用半干拖把拖地，及时擦去溅出物。SPC 并非坚不可摧——家具底部加装毛毡垫，避免拖拽重物。Sapu dan mop lembap, dan lap tumpahan dengan segera. WPC Fluted Wall Panel
Dust and wipe with a soft damp cloth. Glass Works — Architectural Glass
