Quality control

Checked at every step, not just promised

Quality control here isn't a slogan — it's a sequence of gates built into how every job runs, from the first measurement to the handover sign-off. This is exactly what we check, and when.

The five gates

What we check, and when

Each stage is a real step in the job — not a marketing checkpoint. A job only moves forward once its gate is passed.

  1. 1

    Site measurement, recorded as found

We measure the real space and write down the conditions we find — walls out of plumb, uneven floors, damp or termite activity — before anything is priced or cut. It is on the record from the start, not discovered halfway through.

    • Dimensions taken on site, never assumed
    • Existing site conditions logged in the measurement record
    • Appliance, plumbing and power positions confirmed
  2. 2

A shop drawing you approve before production

Nothing is cut until you have checked and approved the shop drawing — dimensions, layout, door swings, appliance positions and finishes. Your approval is the gate: production only starts once it is given.

    • Technical drawing set out from the signed measurement
    • You review swings, positions and finishes against your space
    • Production begins only on your written approval
  3. 3

Material specified to the moisture zone

Every material is chosen for where it sits in the room — a written standard we hold to on every job, not a case-by-case call. Nothing is swapped for something cheaper without your written agreement.

    • Aluminium carcass at every sink and wet module
    • P6 board kept out of wet zones
    • Neutral-cure sealant only next to aluminium
    • Tempered glass to the rating specified for its use
    • No material substituted without written agreement
  4. 4

Installed and commissioned by our own crew

Our own crew installs, supervises and coordinates on site, tests and commissions the work where it applies, and makes the final adjustments — not a subcontractor you have never met.

    • Installation, mounting and fixing by ALUMAX
    • Testing and commissioning where applicable
    • Final adjustment after installation
  5. 5

Handover walkthrough with a snag list

On completion we walk the finished works with you, log any snags against agreed dates, and hand over the care guide. Your warranty activates on this sign-off — and the snags are put right to the plan we agreed.

    • Joint walkthrough of the finished works
    • Any snags logged with agreed completion dates
    • Care & maintenance guide handed over
    • Warranty activates on the handover sign-off

Backed after handover

Warranty minimums, by component

The check doesn't end at handover. These are the minimum periods we stand behind, each running from the day you sign off — a longer manufacturer term wins where there is one.

The honest counterweight

What we don't claim

Quality control is as much about what we refuse to overstate. These are the lines we won't cross, even when they would sound better in a brochure.

  • We don't call any wood or board “waterproof” — we keep it out of wet zones instead.
  • No “lifetime” or “maintenance-free” cover — periods are stated, and they run from handover.
  • Natural variation in timber, stone and finish is normal, and screen colours shift — a physical sample under your own room light is what decides.
  • Hidden site defects — damp, leaks, walls out of plumb, termite damage — sit outside the works unless they are separately quoted.
