Folding-door price covers the supply and install of the frame, leaves, standard glazing/mesh and basic hardware into a prepared opening. Folding doors are the right call where you genuinely want the wall to disappear and the opening is reasonably sheltered — under a deep overhang, onto a covered patio, or on a face that doesn't take the worst of the driving rain. They are not the door for your most rain-exposed elevation: a folding system has more leaves, joints and a threshold to seal than a casement, so on a fully weather-beaten face we'd usually steer you to a casement or sliding door, or to adding a covered overhang first. The system is priced on a project basis — or per panel — because the cost is driven by the opening width, the number of leaves, the frame grade and track, the glass type and the threshold detail; it is indicative only, excludes SST, and is confirmed after site measurement and an approved drawing, so we don't quote a per-leaf figure blind. Are folding doors a good idea on a rain-exposed wall in Sarawak?在砂拉越，把折叠门装在易受雨淋的墙面上是个好主意吗？
Not as a first choice. A folding door has more leaves, joints and a threshold to seal than a casement, so on your most rain-exposed face it works harder to stay weathertight. We'd usually recommend folding for sheltered openings — under a deep overhang or onto a covered patio — and steer a fully exposed face towards a casement or sliding door, or adding a covered overhang first. It depends on the opening width and which side you want the doors to stack, so we confirm it on site rather than guess. Wider spans need more leaves, a heavier track and stronger rollers to fold smoothly and stay rigid, and we plan the stacking side around your furniture and traffic flow. A little, because they have more moving parts. The track, rollers and hinges should be cleaned and lubricated, the bottom track kept clear of grit so water drains, and the multi-point lock serviced as needed.
