Shower screens and glass partitions carry a budget rate per square foot, with a job minimum that covers fabrication and fitting on a small job — enough to size a budget, not to price the exact system you choose. Balustrades, canopies, facades and splashbacks are quoted per project, because glass rating, span, fixing and site access move the figure too far for one rate to hold. Impact-resistant; if it breaks it granulates into blunt pieces. The standard for showers and balustrades.

How the glass is built — and how it breaks
The two safety builds behind every glass job, in section. Tempered crumbles into blunt granules; laminated holds together on its interlayer. Which one suits each zone is confirmed at your free site measurement.
Tempered (toughened) glass
Heat-toughened so it is impact-resistant and, if it does break, crumbles into small blunt granules instead of sharp shards. Impact-resistant, not unbreakable — the standard for showers and balustrades.
Laminated glass
Two glass plies bonded to a tough interlayer. If it breaks, the interlayer holds the pieces together so the pane stays in place. Chosen for security, storm exposure and quieter rooms — and wherever a pane must stay put.
The glass, thickness and fixing are matched to the application — safety and longevity first in wet and fall-protection zones. The exact rating and fixing are confirmed at your site measurement.
