Entrance & utility storage in Sibu, Sarawak — the cabinets that meet you at the door
The entry is the hardest-working two metres in the house: shoes come off, bags and keys land, umbrellas drip, and in a family home that happens several times a day for several people. Entrance storage is cabinetry planned around that traffic — a shoe cabinet with ventilated, adjustable shelves so wet shoes dry instead of souring, a bench to sit on, hooks for bags and jackets, a mirror for the last look, and a drawer for the keys and mail that otherwise live on the console. ALUMAX supplies and installs entrance storage across Sibu and the wider Sarawak, measured on site and drawn for your approval before fabrication, from a single shoe cabinet to a full-height family entry wall with a compartment per person.
The laundry and utility corner is the other room that lives with water, and it gets a different carcass. Board cabinetry is fine for a dry foyer; around a washer, dryer and laundry sink we build in AquaGlass — the ACP (aluminium composite) carcass we use for wet kitchens and vanities — so detergent splash, a leaking hose or a washed-down floor doesn't swell the cabinet. The run is planned around the machines, the sink and where the drying rail goes, with a tall store for the broom, mop and ironing board so the room stays clear.
Entry storage is priced per configuration, because run length, height, a bench or a mirror unit and the hardware move the figure too much for one honest rate — we measure, draw and quote to the approved drawing. The laundry / utility cabinet is priced per foot of run, from RM 680 per foot in an AquaGlass carcass, supply and install, excluding SST — indicative only and confirmed after site measurement. Send the wall length, how many people use the entry and whether you want a bench or mirror in the same piece, and we'll prepare a budget range; from Q4 2026 you can open the drawers and test the bench at our Lanang showroom in Sibu.

Do you make shoe cabinets and entry storage in Sibu?
Yes. Won't a closed shoe cabinet smell?
Not if it breathes. We specify ventilated shelving and slotted or louvred doors so air moves through the cabinet and wet shoes dry, and we plan an open cubby or bench shelf for the pair you wear every day. A sealed box is the mistake; a ventilated one is the fix.
What carcass do you use for a laundry cabinet?
AquaGlass — the ACP (aluminium composite panel) carcass we use for wet kitchens and bathroom vanities. Around a washer, dryer and laundry sink it shrugs off splash and a washed-down floor where a board carcass would swell. The dry entry cabinet stays in moisture-resistant board, which is the right material for a foyer that never sees standing water.
