Drilling, trimming and preparing a surface all make some dust. Covering a sound surface and repairing a failed building element are different jobs. New panels can improve appearance and hide services. They cannot automatically resolve leaks, loose tiles, defective waterproofing or unstable substrates.

Do not cover active dampness or loose finishes to achieve a no-hack promise. Some jobs need localised removal even when most of the existing surface remains.

Floors

Over a floor that is sound and flat enough to take a new layer.

Bedrooms, living rooms, offices and suitable dry kitchens.

A floor that is damp, hollow, lifting or out of level. A floating layer follows what is under it.

Keep standard SPC out of showers, wash-down areas and exterior spaces.

Avoiding wall chasing usually means creating a new service route in front of, below or above the existing surface. The compromise is some added thickness or reduced height.

Whatever we close up, the valves, connections and inspection points stay reachable. Inspect first — Adhesion, dampness, leaks, levels, drainage, fixings and the existing services.
Measure and prefabricate — Cut panels, form corners and prepare access openings off site wherever practical.
Protect and isolate — Cover retained finishes and separate the work area.
Control necessary drilling and cutting — Suitable extraction or wet methods, with contained cleanup.
Test before closing — Services, drainage and any waterproofing within the scope.
Hand over access information — Photographs of concealed routes, removable-panel locations and care instructions.
