Approve one prototype. Hold every unit to it.
Three blank records for a repeatable project: a sample-board sign-off, a prototype approval that freezes the specification, and a per-batch QC record run against that approved prototype — so every unit matches the one you signed off.
How the records fit together
Sample board → prototype approval → batch QC
- Record A — Sample board. Confirm the materials and finishes by zone before anything is built.
- Record B — Prototype approval. Build one unit or room, check it against the drawing and sample board, and sign it off. On approval the specification is frozen.
- Record C — Batch QC. Every subsequent unit is checked against the approved prototype through the same five gates before delivery.

Sample board & material sign-off
Material specified for where it sits in the room — confirmed before production. No material is substituted later without written agreement.

Record B
Prototype / first-article approval
The gate. One unit or room is built and checked against the approved drawing and sample board. On sign-off the specification is frozen — repeat production runs to this exact standard.
Checked against the approved specification
- Dimensions match the approved shop drawing
- Finishes match the signed sample board
- Door swings, drawers and hardware operate correctly
- Appliance, plumbing and power positions confirmed
- Wet-zone material correct (aluminium carcass at sink & wet modules)
- Tolerances within the agreed limits
- Snags noted, with agreed completion dates
Approval decision
- Approved for production
- Approved with comments
- Amend & resubmit
On approval for production the specification is FROZEN. Every unit is then produced and QC’d against it. No change without a written, re-priced variation order. This approval locks:
- Materials & board grades by moisture zone
- Dimensions & tolerances
- Finishes & colours — to the signed sample board
- Hardware & fittings
- M&E cut-outs & service positions
- Installation details & fixings
Record C
Batch / per-unit QC record
Run for each unit or batch against the approved prototype — the same five gates every ALUMAX job passes through.
1 Site measurement, recorded as found
- Dimensions taken on site, never assumed
- Existing site conditions logged in the measurement record
- Appliance, plumbing and power positions confirmed
2 A shop drawing you approve before production
- Technical drawing set out from the signed measurement
- You review swings, positions and finishes against your space
- Production begins only on your written approval
3 Material specified to the moisture zone
- Aluminium carcass at every sink and wet module
- P6 board kept out of wet zones
- Neutral-cure sealant only next to aluminium
- Tempered glass to the rating specified for its use
- No material substituted without written agreement
4 Installed and commissioned by our own crew
- Installation, mounting and fixing by ALUMAX
- Testing and commissioning where applicable
- Final adjustment after installation
5 Handover walkthrough with a snag list
- Joint walkthrough of the finished works
- Any snags logged with agreed completion dates
- Care & maintenance guide handed over
- Warranty activates on the handover sign-off
